About Alex

Alex started to learn the piano before the age of five, and after hearing his music teacher playing boogie-woogie piano, this definitely inspired him. During his school years, he played in all of the school bands, where he was lucky enough to play at the Royal Festival Hall and Queens Hall in London, and overseas in Belgium and Holland. He also studied and passed the GCSE Music Exams. Having an early introduction to music was really beneficial and learning to play to a high enough standard to play with adult musicians is a big achievement for any young student.

He then went on to join and create several local bands, playing with other musicians at jam nights, and started playing as a pianist and musical director for amateur dramatic groups. for a number of years before deciding to follow music as more that a hobby in 2016. Alex held a regular schedule of teaching and performing with bands, jam nights, community groups, choirs, dramatic groups, at weddings, and in care homes, in and around Essex, and occasionally overseas.

Beyond music, Alex has a credible history of working with people from all areas of the community, from children to the elderly, which has really complemented his approach to creating lessons and engaging with his students and other partner organizations. Most of the success Alex has achieved has been down to simple communication. Although Alex is not qualified to a degree level, his years of experience performing and teaching definitely make up for this, as in music, experience really matters.

If you are thinking about taking lessons with Alex, please be assured that he demonstrates the values of patience, commitment, and respect, so whether you are a complete beginner or have a little experience, please do not hesitate in giving him call, text, or email to discuss what you want to achieve with music.
